Target Haul

I had Friday off so I went to the Dentist, Target, and the Drug store. My Dentist said that I have tight skin so that was nice to hear and when I was in the waiting room I watched Canada win Gold and Silver in Ski Cross. I went to Target looking for a pair of slippers and came home with:
Some long underwear leggings, a six cheese pizza, a super comfortable pair of grey sweat pants (beaver canoe I'm actually wearing them right now!) and two pairs of socks. The first one is grey with white polka dots for me and the second is black and white herringbone for my mom. The leggings were $12.95. The pizza was tasty. The sweats were $24ish. and the socks were on clearance for $2.10.
From a drug store I picked up two bottles of nail polish, Tim Tam biscuits and a lip balm.

Rimmel London 337 Purple Rain and Revlon top speed 312 Superstitious. Bare English & Co. Tea Infused Organic Lip Balm in the Mint Chocolate flavour. This lip balm is organic and vegan bonus points for that.
There is a long story behind these cookie, biscuit things involving hot chocolate and a trip to Minneapolis. At lease I think it is these cookies. Ill have to call a friend.
Anyways hope you enjoyed reading.

Thrifting

When to a bunch of thrift stores all over the city recently. I picked up a bunch of goodies, here are a few items I got from an MCC thrift shop.
My absolute favourite score of the day were these spools! The one on the left was $4, the one on the right was $3.50, and the purple one was $2. I'm going to probably just use these for decoration but maybe one day I will use them up but I just think they are sooo cute! I already have a couple so these are a nice addition to my growing collection.

I got this makeup/toiletries bag for 25 cents. There was a little bit of makeup on the inside but I just wiped it out when I got home. It has one pocket on the inside as a divider so it makes three compartments. Its kinda old school country like and I love it. I'm going to use this every time I travel this summer!
And probable my favourite thing of all time BUTTONS! I just love buttons. Blue and white/cream. I payed three bucks for all of them. they have all ready been added to my collection.

Now the lady's that worked at this thrift store were so adorable! They just made my day! I wish I knew there names and I wish we were friends.

I love being thrifty and giving things a new home and finding new was to use old things!

Current Nails

I painted my nails yesterday for a wedding shower. I used Revlon (graceful) its a beautiful light grey. I picked it from Dollarama a few days ago. (See last post) Its almost a pastel grey so very nice for the up coming spring.
It went on really nice, good coverage. Two coats and I was good to go. It dried fairly fast. I would buy this again. Thumbs Up!

Winners Haul

I had the day off so I went shopping! I stopped in at Winners, Staples, Dollarama, and Shoppers drug mart. I didn't find anything at Staples but I scored at the other stores. I stopped at Winners first and picked up a few goodies. I got four new bottles of nail polish two China Glaze, a textured China Glaze and an Essie polish.  All four were on sale for two bucks each!

The next thing I got was a face/body mask that was $8.99. I used it last night, its smells good not like sea weed or mud at all. I just used it as a face mask to try it out and I like it so I'm going to keep using it.

I got a part of fleece lined tights. Just basic black for around the house or under a dress. They were $7.99. Super comforable and warm!

The last thing I found was a pair of boots. They are rubber boots but they have fuzz on the inside so they are actually warm! I have the worst luck with rubber boots. I buy them and first puddle I step in  I find a hole.  I think Tretorn is a good brand so I hope these work/last. They were $39.99.

I spent a total of $73.42 at Winners. Kind of a lot but I really like everyhting I got so it was well worth it.
From  dollarama  I just got a small storage box, chocolate and two bottles of nail polish a Revlon and Nicole by OPI. Then from shoppers I got some ponytails, a frizzy control spray and a Country Living magazine. So all in all a good trip got some essentials (chocolate) and some new stuff to try out. Hope you enjoyed.

Evolution of smooth! I got my first eos lip balm last Christmas (2012) and I have been in love ever since.

First of all the packaging is adorable. There are eight different flavours. Blueberry Acai, Strawberry Sorbet, Pomegranate Raspberry, Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Medicated Tangerine, Lemon Drop with SPF 15. I found them at Walmart, Target, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
My absolute fovourites are Blueberry Acai, Sweet Mint, and limited addition vinilla! But really they are all good. They are 95% organic and 100% natural.
Eos also has hand lotion, shaving cream and a few other products which u can find at www.evolutionofsmooth.com

Mail Time

I just received a package in the mail!! It's from Cheeky-Canada on amazon. I got some caviar beads for my nails! There are twelve different colours. The colours below are pretty close to true.
-My package arrived in a bubble-lined envelop. Some of the containers are a little scratched but I'm okay with that because it doesn't effect the product.
-It did arrive in the estimated time zone so that's a big plus! Although I placed the order on December 28th and it's estimated arrival time was Jan 23rd - Feb 10th so over a month is to long to wait in my opinion, but I did choose standard shipping.
-This pack cost $5.49 after shipping. That's a little much considering how much of each colour there is but that is still a lot cheaper then what I would have spent at a store here.
-The packaging of the product it self it cute. It's white with little pink polka dots. On the back it has a bunch of links to "tips and tricks from thousands of nail artists and beauticians" also links to Facebook and YouTube.

So over all I like this product I do wish it came sooner and I cant wait to try it!

Are you watching the olympics? They started yesterday! GO CANADA!

Best candle ever.

So I know I said the next few posts would be my nail collection and everything but I just have to mention this candle I got from Walmart this past weekend.

I have only used it twice and it is amazing. It smells so good and the colour is amazing. Right when I opened it in the store I fell in love. I didn't even look at the price and if you know me that's a big deal. I think it was like $5 and for a little candle I would usually never spend that much. But this little guy is so worth it. It actually makes the whole room smell so good! Even when it's not lite. Wow I haven't even mentioned the sent its self yet it's hibiscus! Next time I go to Walmart im totally getting more.

IKEA!!

Today I went shopping and one of my stops was ikea. I was actually there last weekend and got a few things to try and decided I loved them and had to get more. The problem with ikea is you can't just go once, that's not how it works. Anyways last weekend I got two rods to hang my scarves on. These are the BYGEL rods 39 1/4" ($3.99 each)and on the ends I got the buckets(on sale for 25 cents!) that go with them (in red). I like these buckets so much I have three in my bathroom. Two in the shower to hold face wash and stuff but they are great becasue the have holes in the bottom so the water can drain out.

I also got a spice rack ($6.99 each) to try out for my nail polish storage and when I went back today I got two more! I still need to hang them maybe tomorrow... but this is the first one and I just mounted it on the side of my armour (that is also from ikea).

I'm thinking I might paint them a different color but i'll wait till summer to do that, although the natural is pretty nice. Anyways I like this shelf because I can fit 2 rows of bottles and also bigger things if need be and you can still see everything.

I got a clock. ($8.99)

Funny story: I was setting the time today and was not aware that the alarm was turned on and it went off and totally scared the crap out of me. I will never use this as an alarm clock for that reason but it is really cute and old school.
I got magazine holders ($14.99 pack of 2) they came in a pack of 2 and I am using one for crochet magazines/ patterns. And the other will be used to store my Rachael Ray magazines!!!

The last thing I got last weekend was a travel caddy ($4.00) for my nail art supplies which I will show with my nail art collection/ storage post. Ohh and a lamp shade for $6.

Today at ikea I got  a cube basket for my expidit ($12.99), a set of hat boxes ($18.99),  a picture frame ($9.99), a basket ($8.99), and a chocolate bar $1!

This basket was the easiest thing I have ever put together. It comes flat and the you just drop the bottom in. I even took pictures to show how easy it was.

The last thing I'm going to say about ikea right now is that they have awesome cinnamon buns!!!!!
